University of Tehran Overview
University of Tehran (UT) is the oldest and largest educational, scientific and research center in Iran and thus referred to as (Mother University) .
UT was inaugurated officially in 1937 as a state-run university .
UT tries to provide an excellent academic environment in both undergraduate and graduate (master and doctoral) programs aiming to respond to the growing needs of students .
UT has endeavored to benefit from experienced academic staff and specialized and qualified forces to serve the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The main campus of UT is located in the heart of Tehran, namely Enghelab Avenue. Other university colleges, faculties, research centers and institutes affiliated to UT are located in other parts of Tehran, Karaj, Qom, Pakdasht, Sari and Kish Island.
